The three tiers for kitchen composters
Most partners start in Tier 01 to validate the SKU in their market, then upgrade to Tier 02 once volume justifies tooling. Tier 03 is for partners launching a new product category, not a re-branded GoldHot SKU.

Can you OEM a real-compost (microbial fermentation) unit, or only dehydrator-grinders?
Both. The premium GoldHot tier (CY06 / CY08 / CY11) is real-compost and available for OEM from MOQ 100 — this is the most-requested OEM path because it lets a private-label brand enter the Reencle-tier category without building microbial-strain qualification capability in-house. The standard tier (CY02 / CY03) is dehydrator-grinder and also OEM-able at the same MOQ.
What does the LED ring customisation cover?
On Tier 02 (Tooled OEM) we tool the LED light pipe to your Pantone, and reprogram the firmware to drive your brand colour during cycle phases — for example, brass-warm during active fermentation, amber when finished. Multi-colour cycle indication is supported. Total cost is included in the tooling fee.
How long does microbial-strain qualification take if I want a custom inoculation system?
Full ODM (Tier 03) with a custom microbial system runs 22–28 weeks because strain testing needs at least 8 weeks of independent verification — temperature stability, pathogen kill rates, output pH consistency. Most OEM partners use our standard thermophilic strain set, which is already qualified.
Do tooled-OEM composters carry separate certifications?
Yes. Any tooled-OEM unit goes through fresh CE / FCC / RoHS / FDA food-contact testing because the configuration has changed. This is included in the tooling cost. Lead time for re-certification: typically 4–6 weeks, runs in parallel with mass-production setup so it doesn't extend the calendar.
What is the smallest OEM order GoldHot will take on the composter line?
100 units / model for private-label. We will not break MOQ — the line setup cost makes anything smaller uneconomic for both sides. For first-order sampling, a mixed container with 100 of each composter SKU (600 units total) is the typical first PO.
